Going to the Sun

Hand dyed and handwoven by Nicki Rathert

Going to the Sun is an homage to Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, where the gorgeous inspiration picture was taken. Though I moved often as a child, I spent my summers in Montana until my late teens. Left mostly to our own devices, my brother, cousins and I were free to run, explore, relax and play to our hearts' content. Those summers were such a drastic change from being at home that I looked forward to them all year long. Though I have since settled in the Midwest, my heart will always love the mountains.
