Breathe was a custom piece, inspired by white sand beaches and bright blue skies with a landscape sprinkled with green grasses.  The inspiration (and name) was chosen by the custom holder and was so much fun to dye and weave.

Breathe features a hand-dyed ring spun 8/2 cotton warp in shades of blues, hints of greens, along with tans and golds to mimic the beach landscape. The weft is hand-dyed silk linen in what turned out to be a rich, saturated colorway. I got approval for the weft to be anything I wanted, I experimented a little, and I was thrilled with the results!

 

It is a one of a kind, short 2.2m piece woven in a crackle weave destined to be a ring sling.
